Indoor shelter home.

There are several projects for outdoor Shelter homes for political and natural disaster refugees. Like the project developed by IKEA and other organisations that cover long term refugee shelters. Not much has been explored for indoor temporary homes such as space dividers for halls, gyms, community centres, etc.

Target Users.

Families that have just lost their home and have been sent to a Convention Center to take shelter (this process takes around 5 – 15 days). There is no privacy, the floor is cold and they are tired.

The Organisation.

The Organasation has problems locating each family, distributing clothing and organizing it, having a health and safety environment and providing food distribution and health care area.

the Needs.

Temporary home sensation by providing space dividers, it provides comfort and privacy. Sound and light blockage to allow the refugees to rest and feel calm.
An area to store their belongings as well as an area to collect and organise all the clothing donations.
That way it is easier to locate people and distributing food and basic needs.
This system also provides a more hygienic and safety arrangement for the refugees and the organisation.
The modules are flat packed & easy to transport. Modular assembly is easy to adapt to the different scenarios for the families and the organisation needs.

initial Concepts.

Product represents comfort, privacy, warmth, safety and care. Standing height structure. Door for safety and privacy. Accordion modular system. Translucent roof to provide a dim lighting in the interior.
